Daughters of Mary Information
The "Daughters of Mary" is a women's organization at Our Lady of the Cedars that now numbers about 20. It is open to all women in our parish ages 18 and older. We usually meet once a month, the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7.30 in the evening at the church hall. There are a few exceptions during the year for our time of meetings, but they are generally announced well ahead of time. We have a board comprised of four people; President, vice-president, treasurer, and secretary. The board is elected by the members of the organization. The job of the board includes, but is not limited to, planning entertaining as well as educational activities; Scheduling various spiritual activities coinciding with the various religious holidays; and last but not least, organizing different Fund-raising events through which we help contribute towards the building of our Church. Each member of our organization is a contact person on behalf of the Daughters. Anyone interested in joining us, or finding information about our organization can speak to any member of the Daughters.
